Banana Bread

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 3 very ripe bananas

METHOD

Preheat the oven to 175ºC. Grease and flour a 12.5cm x 23cm loaf tin.

Mash the bananas, add the flour, sugar butter, vanilla, baking soda and powder and egg.

Mix well and pour into loaf pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50 – 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
