- 4 slices of bread
- 400 ml grated cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- A dash of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 4 slices tomato
- Sliced onion or spring onion (optional)
Switch oven on to “Grill”.
Place the bread slices under the grill in the oven and toast them on one side only.
Mix the cheese, eggs, mustard powder and Worcestershire sauce together in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Spread the cheese mixture on to the un-toasted side of the bread.
Place a slice of tomato on top of each slice of toast.
Put the toast back under the grill and toast until the cheese is bubbly and light brown.
Place on a serving plate, garnish with sliced onions and spring onions if using and eat straight away.
