[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][mark style=”paragraph” color=””]If you’re time constrained, this will settle your hunger pangs for a while, as well as supply the necessary nutrients for the start of the day. So refreshing in the heat of summer![/mark]

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ punnet strawberries, washed first then hulled and roughly chopped
  • 1 banana, optional
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional
  • 1 cup water or milk or no-dairy milk such as almond/soy/rice milk
  • 3 cubes of ice

DIRECTIONS

Blend all the ingredients, pour into a jar, screw the lid on tightly and go!

NOTE

The combination is endless: any fruit of choice or favour. Bear in mind that citrus may curdle if using yoghurt as a base. A tablespoon of smooth nut butter adds a touch of extra creaminess and nuttiness. Try cashew, almond, macadamia or even peanut! Tahini too!

Turn it into a lassi by adding spices such as powdered/crushed cardamom seed and a teaspoon of rose water![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
