Filled with green goodness, this easy-to-make smoothie is a great way to start the morning and has many nutritional and health benefits. It’s also highly alkalising!

Green Smoothie
Serves 2

INGREDIENTS
1 Handful kale
1 Handful baby spinach
4cm Piece of cucumber
1 Cup loosely packed fresh parsley
1cm Piece of fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
½ An avocado
1 Banana, chopped
1 Cup almond milk


DIRECTIONS
1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
2. Pour out into glass and drink immediately
3. If required add two blocks of ice before blending to chill
